B/T Dog Whelped-2/8/95 Owner-Tammy Arsenau Breeder-Heather & Peter Whitcomb Pedigree When I decided it was time to get back into bloodhounds, I knew I wanted a male puppy that had Nimrod’s Frankie in the pedigree. I also knew there was a litter at Heather’s Hounds. I described what this puppy had to be. First and foremost, he had to be a gentle giant with my children, I had to be able to take him everywhere, and he had to have good bone, lots of type, and a great personality. Well, this certainly describes Hugo. Hugo and I are a team in and out of the show ring. To see Hugo stacked in the ring he is a “cookie cutter” of what a bloodhound should be. He is a multi Best in Show dog. He is the proud winner of the Nationals in 1998, as well as an Award of Merit winner in Washington State in 1999. Hugo won the Canadian Nationals in 1997 and was Best Of Opposite in 1998. Hugo is an ambassador of the breed wherever he goes. He can be seen running free with the horses on the farm. He can be found making himself “small” to play with little children. He is a bloodhound at ringside, with a crowd around him, watching him “ham it up”. He is known for his singing ability. His personality and antics have given people something to smile about. Hugo, the farm dog, will be talked about for a long time as the large friendly Best in Show bloodhound that always has something to say. He truly is a credit to the breed! OFA
